Tasks
You are the entrepreneurial mind in the realization of our projects: You are innovative and bring out the best for your customers, coordinate orders already in the bidding phase, lead creative, international teams, communicate at all levels and use your technical know-how to make highly complex projects a success.
- Management of electrification and automation projects (incl. day-to-day business) with full project responsibility including successful delivery and completion of assigned projects as well as responsibility for the project P&L
- Management of project sub-contractors including local installation companies and system integrators
- Early engagement and support during bid preparation phase making sure of technical feasibility of bids
- Leading and managing project resources assigned to dedicated projects
- Technical management of the project team
- Change order management
- Regular reporting of project key performance indicators (KPI´s) to the department head
Profile:
- Minimum bachelor´s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering / electronics engineering / automation engineering
- Multiple years of automation and / or electrification project management experience, using professional project management standards, preferably in the utility sector in a major E, I&C vendor
- Solid professional experience in engineering of modern plants in the process industry
- Knowledge of utility (power & water) sector markets and their dynamics
- Outstanding project management skills, leadership capabilities, personal responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong communication skills, team spirit and independent and single-minded way of working

Tasks:

Proposal Manager / Proposal Engineer (m/f/x)

Tasks:
The main mission of the role is to take responsibility for generating technically accurate and commercially
competitive proposals for automation project opportunities based on Mitsubishi Electric's Distributed Control System PMSXpro and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system Genesis64. The main tasks of the successful candidate include:
- Evaluation and clarifying customer technical specifications and assessing their feasibility within Mitsubishi Electric’s plant automation solutions portfolio
- Engineering the proposed solution based on customer requirements and Mitsubishi Electric’s offerings
- Accurately estimating the required Bill of Materials (BOM), quantities, and the resulting cost of the proposed solution
- Supporting sales in negotiating technical and commercial deviations with assistance from solutions management and contracts management departments
- Evaluating technical and commercial risks of automation solution bids and proposing appropriate mitigation measures
- Assisting sales in clarifying and negotiating prepared proposals with customers
- Supporting sales in transferring won projects to the project execution team
Profile:
- University degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in automation, control, or electronics from an accredited university, or equivalent training and experience
- Detailed knowledge of automation, control technologies and solutions, specifically Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
- Knowledge of process plant engineering as well as instrumentation is beneficial
- Familarity with the utilities market and other process industries is advantageous
- Experience generating proposals for industrial solutions and/or experience working with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA systems
- Multiple years of experience in solution and project business, especially in growth cycles
- International work experience and exposure
- Focused on business results and customer value creation with high level of attention to detail
- Cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority
- High level of intercultural sensititvity and the ability to function well in a highly international environment
- Fluency in business English and German; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
